The region is pretty different from the rest of Spain: it still has its authentic culture and a lot of delicious local food and drinks. The climate is pretty mild and the region is not yet discovered by most tourists, which makes it the perfect area for hiking. Both the seaside with its amazing white cliffs and the inland with its impressive green mountains are part of the beautiful nature you will find here. During my trip I did several hikes and although they were all completely different I enjoyed all of them. One of the hikes I liked most was a tour that was organised by Debora. She took me together with three other tourists to the historic city of Oviedo, from which we started hiking the first part of the Camino de Santiago. It was an amazing experience to walk on these very special paths and roads, feeling the deeper meaning and at the same time discovering the beautiful landscape and wildlife. The additional guidance and information from Debora made the tour even more special.
